Lucky to be born and raised in this awesome town of Barwon Heads, carpenter/builder for the last 22 years in our third generation family business established 55 years ago. Love all kinds of sport, involved in the local cricket community as well as being a a member of the Queenscliff Golf Club.
Sandy Renick
I was born and educated in Geelong, and my family has had a strong connection with Barwon Heads since the early 1930’s. I have lived here full-time since 2008.
While my working life has been primarily in banking and finance, I have always enjoyed making a practical contribution to my community. This has included (in my younger years) boundary umpiring for Geelong Amateurs (then in the VAFA), as well as serving on various committees for United Way (now Give Where You Live). I am a former President, District Governor, and a Life Member of APEX Geelong.
My passion is red wine. My interest in, and knowledge of, wine has evolved over many years, including working in the liquor industry in various roles.
I have been a member of BGGC for a few years now and enjoy its friendly and welcoming environment. I hope to make a useful contribution to The Tin Shed community.
Di Matheson
I’m a Shepparton girl and after finishing my secondary schooling at Shepparton High School, I went on to become an educator. I began my career as a Primary School Teacher and followed this with 10 years working in Special Education.
I moved from Shepparton to Ocean Grove in 2016 and took on a position as a Campus Principal at Northern Bay College in Geelong. I resigned from the Department of Education in 2019 and joined the Valad Solutions school review team in 2020.
I have two daughters and four grandchildren living close by and am currently working on finding that elusive work-life balance that many people my age are striving for.
I enjoy my fitness and sporting activities.
I’m looking forward to being involved in and contributing to the Tin Shed committee.
Hugh Coghlan
It was a pleasure to be elected to the Tinshed’s committee, being the youngest member.
I look forward to learning from my more experienced colleagues on the committee.
The majority of my short working life has been spent in hospitality in Melbourne for a time then Geelong, my expertise is more focused on event management.
During the past twelve months I have worked behind the bar on Sundays at the Tinshed. My most recent working role has been with Conan Roos Builders working around the Bellarine.
With my hospitality background I look forward to managing the bar functions of the club.
